The Asus launched Zenfone 5 series

The Asus Zenfone 5, and the 5Z, look almost identical to Apple's iPhone X. There's a  "notch" at the top of the screen, the edges are curved metal and the rear dual camera is in an awfully familiar portrait position. (Huawei's rumored P20 and the Leagoo S9 will also give you iPhone X )
So yes, it's a clone. The question is, do you really care?
